Spare Tire Mount

These carriers are typically designed to install to the same studs that the spare tire attaches to. The rack comes as two pieces with the rack mount that installs to the studs and accommodates most lug patterns along with the bike holder that fastens to the mount with a hand knob. The bike holder utilizes one or two support arms to extend rearward to carry two or three bikes, depending on the model. The arms feature padded cradles to hold the bike frame's horizontal top tube. Straps or padded clamps efficiently grasp the bikes to the carrier. Some of them have anti-sway cradles to prevent bike to bike or bike to vehicle collision when moving. The support arms on some models may be folded down to a smaller size when not in use for proper storage.
