AEM?s affordable CAN-based GPS Module allows users of the CD-7 Digital Dash to quickly add track mapping that enables viewing and monitoring lap times, vehicle speed, and odometer function. It's specifically designed to give accurate positions of the vehicle at different times on the track. It has a one-plug connection which makes installation literally plug and play, allowing GPS data to be transmitted via AEMnet CAN bus. View your lap times on CD-7 Digital Dash.
As per manufacturer's tip, put the module flat to the ground somewhere in the center of the car. The 5Hz GPS/GLONASS receiver is better positioned on the roof of the car to get a better signal from the satellites
the magnetic housing lets you stick it anywhere on the roof of your car (as long as the roof is made of steel). The water-resistant, weather-proofed enclosure ensures lasting durability.

Established in 1987 by John Concialdi (J.C) with co-founder Bob Sullivan in Compton, California, AEM has remained one of the most recognized reliable brands of tuning products. J.C. and Bob were driven by their immeasurable passion for and dedication to making fast things go even faster. The duo's strong foundation in their niche is attributed to their technical engine savvy, and J.C. is credited for his more in-depth understanding of air flow through an engine when compared to other players in the industry. In 1993, they moved their tuning shop in Gardena, California, where it was almost always packed with racing cars being serviced in preparation for street racing events, compelling them to stay open for 24 hours on certain days. And race after race, cars and drivers sporting the AEM?s yellow logo would bring home the trophy and fame.
AEM is well-known for having engineered one of the first ever Packaged Air Induction Systems. This breakthrough design was made possible by their extensive experience in dyno-testing, active participation in the Battle of the Imports racing, and broad understanding of intake energy dynamics. AEM, in fact, has had many firsts in tuning industry, proving that they have the competitive advantage when it comes to tuning innovations.
