THE AMERICAN RACING ADVANTAGE
American Racing is a classic American wheel brand. The company was founded in 1956, during the muscle car era, by the famous drag racer Romeo Palamides. After having designed several wheels for high performance dragsters, Romeo decided to take his expertise to the consumer market. Some of the American Racing wheels they are best known for, are the Torq Thrust, Baja, Libre, 200S, and LeMans. The Torq Thrust is considered by some to be the most famous muscle car wheel of all time. In fact, so cutting edge was this wheel that many credit it with starting the whole aftermarket wheel industry. The Baja was American Racing's first foray into the truck wheel market and remains one of the brand's hottest sellers to this day. The Libre, 200S, and LeMans were all competition grade wheels that were used by some of the most successful racing teams. The 200S got its name for being the first custom wheel that was safe enough to drive at speeds exceeding 200 miles per hour! Today, American Racing wheels come in a variety of head-turning styles and colours. The brand is known for its high quality and competitive prices.
