EDELBROCK'S HISTORY

Edelbrock was founded in 1938 by Vic Edelbrock Sr. It is one of the oldest automotive aftermarket companies in the world. Fueled by an obsession for quality, Vic Sr. purchased a dynamometer for his Edelbrock production facility; a first in the industry. To this day, Edelbrock continues to rigorously test all of its products with the latest technology available. After the death of Vic Sr. in 1962, his son, Vic Jr., took over the family business. Staying true to his father's vision, Vic Jr. grew the company from a small machine shop of 10 employees, to one of the largest aftermarket manufacturers in the world, with over 700 employees and bringing in over $125 million in annual revenue. Vic Jr. was also one of the founding members of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), a professional organization of over 6000 manufacturers, retailers, dealers, and mechanics from around the world.

Edelbrock Carburetors

What makes Edelbrock carburetors so special? They are easy-to-use and reliable. Edelbrock carburetors are unaffected by engine backfires. There are no power valves to blow out, and the rods can be changed quickly without carburetor removal or fuel draining. Edelbrock carburetors are also unique in that they can "hold a tune". What this means is that once an Edelbrock carburetor is tuned, it stays tuned.

Intake Manifolds

Edelbrock intake manifolds are able to produce outstanding top-end horsepower, all the while while retaining adequate to good throttle response. Edelbrock engineers work closely with leading race engine manufacturers in order to ensure Edelbrock intake manifolds fit the latest engines and provide the greatest possible performance gains.

Cylinder Heads

Edelbrock cylinder heads utilize efficient ports and state-of-the-art combustion chamber shapes to maximize performance gains. All Edelbrock cylinder heads are outfitted with threaded inserts in rocker studs, exhaust bolt holes, and manganese-bronze valve guides. This results in optimal strength and durability, Edelbrock engineers also work closely with leading racers like Billy Glidden, John Urist & Pat Musi to produce the ultimate racing experience.
