The Continental EcoContact EP is a high-performance tire specifically developed for a wide variety of vehicles. The tire of choice by several automotive manufacturers, the Continental EcoContact EP (Economy Plus) tires are designed and developed using the latest state-of-the-art technology and manufactured using only the highest quality materials to ensure your safety on the road while also improving your riding comfort.
Primarily designed as a summer tire, these Continental EcoContact EP tires are engineered to deliver low rolling resistance, save fuel, and reduce carbon emissions. Originally intended for Smart Fortwo (2004-2006 model year), the ContiEcoContact EP is a premium aftermarket tire that is specifically configured to provide superior traction in dry and wet road driving conditions.
Featuring a silica-enhanced compound that is molded into an asymmetric design, the ContiEcoContact EP is also equipped with solid tread blocks and a continuous rib on to improve the tire's responsiveness and cornering stability. The continuous center rib, meanwhile, provides constant rubber-to-road contact to lessen the noise output and control the longitudinal forces experienced when braking.
The circumferential tread grooves and independent tread blocks are arranged on the inboard tread to enhance the tire's hydroplaning resistance and improve wet weather traction.
