Cooper Tires is a world-renowned manufacturer and distributor of premium aftermarket tires. Cooper's beginnings can be traced back to 1914 in Akron, Ohio when brothers-in-law John F. Schaefer and Claude E. Hart started to produce tire patches, tire cement, and tire repair kits. Schaefer and Hart then acquired the tire rebuilding business The Giant Tire and Rubber Company of Akron and eventually moved the business to Findlay, Ohio. In 1926, Ira J. Cooper then introduced the "Cooper Creed," a vision that allowed the company to center its business on "good merchandise, fair play, and a square deal."
