The sway control housing features friction material which appropriately rubs against a telescoping bar that withstands movement when the trailer begins to sway. The amount of friction and sway control may be altered through an adjustment on the housing. A typical sway control kit consists of the sway control unit, a ball mounting plate mounted to the trailer, the sway control trailer ball, and fundamental mounting hardware. Sway control kits are usually designed to be installed on either side of the trailer.
