Product Info

The Smittybilt SRC Rear Bumper is available with a 3/16" cold rolled steel sturdy plate center section. This section is created to follow the contours of a huge off-road tire. This will provide highest clearance when you are opening and closing your vehicle's tailgate. With the SRC Rear Bumper you get highest protection, but you are still able to go anywhere off-road. The Smittybilt SRC Rear Bumper includes a Class III 2" receiver hitch and 2 sturdy D-ring mounts. This enhanced rear bumper is available with or without a swing-away tire carrier. If it is provided, this tire carrier is able to hold up to a 40" tall tire. You may also buy set-up SRC Rear Bumper for the tire carrier but without the carrier installed. Then, you may buy the tire carrier separately if you want.

The greatest advantage of the Smittybilt SRC Rear Bumper is that it delivers highest protection as well as the clearance, which is necessary for off-road driving. The back end essential parts of your Jeep are well protected, thanks to the hard 3/16" cold rolled steel plate design. This rear bumper has a form, which allows it to fit around a large off-road spare. This provides easy tailgate access. The sloped design will bring you highest rock crawling clearance, superior tire travel, and improved entry and exit points. The sloped ends deliver best approach and departure angles. The Class III 2" receiver hitch can be bolted straight to the OE mounting points. The Smittybilt SRC Rear Bumper has one-piece welded design. Smittybilt's engineers have welded the D-ring mounts inside and out for extra durability. This means you will have no problems if you have to utilize these mounts for pulling or towing your rig.

The tire carrier is available with an alterable mount. This allows the tire carrier to hold up to a 40" tall tire. However, the tire carrier will also be able to swing away effortlessly in order to provide access to your vehicle's tailgate. The Smittybilt SRC Rear Bumper comes packaged with a greaseable zerk fitting. This makes pivot lubrication possible and keeps the hinge clean and polished. This means your helpful SRC Rear Bumper will serve you well for many years. Extra durability and support are provided by the strengthened gusseted bracket. The Smittybilt SRC Rear Bumper features a strong latch mechanism with a billet aluminum handle as well. When you are driving off-road, this mechanism holds the carrier closed and your tire safe.

The Smittybilt SRC Rear Bumper is acid bath dipped to eliminate the contaminants. This high quality rear bumper features a unique "E-Coat" that is applied inside and out. The SRC Rear Bumper comes packaged with a dual stage textured black powder coated finish as well. This provides a stylish appearance and highest endurance. The package also contains mounting hardware and comprehensive mounting instructions, which are necessary for a direct bolt-on installation. The Smittybilt SRC Rear Bumper is available with a 5-year limited warranty against finish defects. The SRC Rear Bumper is also provided with a Smittybilt Advantage limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

Please, keep in mind that before trying to tow anything, you must always look at the towing specifications for your particular vehicle. If you want to know what you are able to tow, you have to check the vehicle's towing capability, not the hitch rating.

Smittybilt is situated in Compton, California, in the USA. Smittybilt has leading positions on the market for off-road parts and accessories, because the company manufactures these products from its beginning. Smittybilt was founded by Basil Smith, who was also called "Smitty". Basil Smith was one of the initial Southern California 4WD enthusiasts. He began a business in 1956 and named it Rock-ett Products. Basil Smith started producing specific gear for trucks and Jeeps. These products were created in Smitty's garage/machine shop. Basil's son Tom started working at Rock-ett when he was very young. In the 1970s this always growing company was named Smittybilt and Tom Smith became its director. With Tom as a leader, Smittybilt has made a variety of unique products ? for example, the original "Nerf Bar" side step, tubular front and rear bumpers for Jeeps. The company is familiar with the modern trends and demands in the off-road market, because of its permanent engagement in off-roading at all levels. This is why nowadays Smittybilt continues to be a leader on the market with a selection of over 2000 various products for trucks and SUVs.
