Transporting skis and snowboards safely can be a headache without the right rack. These winter gears can take up a lot of space inside a vehicle's backseat and they can also add to the wear and tear to the overall car interior. The Thule Tram Snowsport Rack Adapter easily transforms a summer bike rack into a durable winter ski and snowboard rack. It eliminates the need to purchase and replace racks as the season changes. It can safely and securely transport winter gears on any hitch-mounted carrier while freeing up a lot of backseat space. Like many of Thule's mounting systems, the adapter ensures that all gears and vehicles are protected from scratches using ultra-soft rubber arms. Oversized buttons allow for easy loading and unloading, even while wearing gloves. The skis and snowboards are also arranged in an upright position to allow maximum available capacity, making it an effective space saver. Up to four or six pairs of skis (or two or four snowboards, respectively) can be accommodated with this adapter. Since the rack is hitch-mounted rather than roof-mounted, passing through tunnels and garages will be easier. Wind drag and restriction will also not be a problem. Lastly, One-key locks are included to ensure gears and racks are safe from sticky fingers.
