Automotive Racing Product was founded by racing enthusiast Gary Holzapfel in 1968. He saw many of his car enthusiast friends' common problems were broken engines caused by fastener failure. During their time, there were no available stubs and bolts commercially. So Gary Holzapfel recalls his years of experience making fasteners for a leading aerospace subcontractor and founded his own fastener manufacturer, the Automotive Racing Product or ARP. ARP focuses on designing and engineering fasteners specifically for racing. ARP was the first company to engineer and design racing fasteners, and has developed many patented processes for manufacturing high-quality fasteners from very durable materials.
