The Thule DockGlide Kayak Saddle works in tandem with crossbar racks to ensure safe transit for your kayak from home to water. Its felt-lined rear saddles help align and center the kayak for easier load and unloading. A pivoting design fits a wide range of hull shapes so both the car and water equipment are safe and free from scratches. Two straps secure the kayak to the rack and the rack to the vehicle. These straps with bow tie-downs ensure that any "bounce" is minimized while the vehicle is moving even in rough terrain. This flexible carrier fits kayaks of up to 36 inches or 90 cm wide and 75 lbs.
